Final fiscal-cliff hurdle: 218 votes in House

A bipartisan deal to avert the fiscal cliff that passed by the Senate in the wee hours of Tuesday morning was being scrutinized by both parties in the House of Representatives but no timetable for any vote on the measure had yet been set.
